LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
MARCH 5, 1999
Dear Parents:
The Spring Term Parent Teacher Conferences is a wonderful opportunity to see your childâs teachers, and follow through on the progress he/she made during the school year. You are invited to meet privately with your childâs teachers at these Conferences to be held next week on Wednesday, March 10 from 5:30-8:00P.M. and on Thursday, March 11 from 1:00-3:00PM. Choose the time that is most convenient for your family, and report to your childâs classroom. Because each teacher must speak to many parents we ask that you limit your conference to ten minutes. (Keep in mind that parents may ask to schedule a conference with a teacher any time during the school year that a special need may arise.)
I would like to remind parents that every child participates each week in several special programs such as Ms. Kalishâs Computer Lab, Mr. Rogersâ Music Class and Ms. Schneiderâs Art Studio. The list of special teachers includes various Reading Specialists, Ms. Mollahan, the Librarian, and Ms. Terban in the Resource Room. You will want to visit these teachers as well, to learn of the enrichment your child gains outside of the classroom.
Traditionally during this time we have our Annual Library Scholastic Book Fair, so we know you will take this opportunity to add to your child's home library.
Refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Office of School Nutrition Services. These snacks will be representative of the meals your child is served for breakfast and for lunch. We still have some Centennial T Shirts available for sale .
We have had a wonderful year, many interesting programs, and we still have one third of the school year ahead of us. I am looking forward to seeing you all at this time.
Sincerely,
Jack Regan, Principal
