Mission
The Community Outreach Committee was formed to publicize school events within the community and to let other school and community leaders know about the exciting activities and achievements taking place at PS166. A label mailing list was developed with 45 names and addresses. The list includes Community School Board members, the superintendent and assistant superintendents, area principals and PA presidents, local newspapers, and institutions of higher education where we are trying to develop student teacher relationships. Each month the our PA newsletter was sent to the entire list. Press releases were sent to local papers announcing our silent auction and the Chase chess championship.
If you would like to assist with the PA mailings and press releases, which can mean anything from helping to adhere labels and fold paper to drafting a release, please contact our committee.
