PS 166 PTA Grants Committee

Mission

This committee is responsible for researching companies, foundations, elected officials, and other potential outside funding sources for projects and programs at PS166. Help is needed not only in the writing of grants, but in tracking the school's funding needs and priorities and matching these with funders' goals. Work on the grant committee may involve identifying school needs, researching potential sources of funding, designing programs with specific funders’ guidelines in mind, contacting funders, writing grant proposals, and implementing grant-funded programs (i.e. making sure that grant money,once received, is well spent).
